Get Fit Walking is our fitness focused program and it’s also a series on Youtube. It’s aimed at providing guidance to anyone wanting to use walking as an effective method for achieving or maintaining fitness.
Get Fit Walking is different to many ‘walking fitness’ programs. It’s not about following a rigid workout routine, with contrived exercises. We’ve largely modelled the technical aspects of the program on the methods we use to train Sport Walkers for endurance challenges, so we know it works!
It is the essence of simplicity and adapts well to a ‘fitness only’ approach. It’s about refining how you walk normally (no need to learn a new technique), to make your walking style more effective and efficient and then focusing on increasing your speed, so that you’re walking strongly, which builds fitness.
It is the simplest, most easily adopted method of walking for fitness and because it’s all about enhancing your existing walking style you can make progress relatively quickly, it’s all a question of how hard you want to work.
