The Sport Walk Show has returned for a second season with a new format built around answering viewers’ questions and going into more depth on subjects that matter most to subscribers.

In the first edition, released on Friday 27th October 2023, there are questions about optimum cadence (step count), whether a more vigorous arm swing can increase your speed and, also, whether the forefoot landing technique, which has been dividing opinion in the running world, is worth trying for Sport Walking (give you three guesses!).

There are also two new show features – ‘Trail Master’, which looks at specific trail skills that will help anyone become a more accomplished Sport Walker and in this edition the focus is on negotiating rooted sections of trail. Then, there’s the new ‘Amazing Places to Walk’ feature, which is a brief profile of outstanding landmarks or trails with unmissable views. In this first edition, Roger visits Pystyll Rhaedr Falls which, if you’ve ever used Instagram, you’ll no doubt be very familiar with.
If you want to submit a question for future shows, no matter how trivial, either leave a comment here or you can post a question on the Sport Walk Facebook Community Group (it’s an open group so you can simply join without any application process). Alternatively, you can comment on the post linking to the show on the Sport Walk Facebook Page or simply comment on the show itself on Youtube.
